Trinity’s 147th Anniversary Sunday celebrated many aspects of Trinity’s community, with Joanne Purchase the Chair of Church Council leading worship and other members contributing. The first 100 years were highlighted in the Announcements. Check this out under the Announcement tab and the Sunday, October 23rd date.
During the service, a beautiful Family Tree Banner was unveiled and dedicated, a reminder that we are a family, with a variety of needs, of skills and of personalities, represented by the variety of its leaves.
Following worship, we gathered in Trinity Hall to share a beautiful cake made by member Paige Healey and the cutting of it shared by long time members and the 90+ group! An Archive table highlighted some of Trinity’s past.
Matthew 5: 13 – 16a “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill can not be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under a bushel basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to God."
