It was Par-Tee time! The “just for fun” Trinity Golf Tournament was held on Sunday afternoon, September 16th at Huntsville Downs. A 3:00 pm shot-gun start began the afternoon with burgers, salad, dessert and tea/coffee and prizes awarded to finish the day. Any way you “Sliced It”... it was a fun afternoon and the weather was hot but beautiful. Special thanks to Gord & Jane Booker and Maurice McGill & Maureen Newton for their part in organizing this “Par-fect" Day!

On Sunday, May 27th, following Derek's final, very packed worship service, a special celebration was held in honor of his retirement. A luncheon was served and cake was cut for the many family and friends who gathered in Trinity Hall to wish him well. The presentations took the humorous form of Derek choosing the 'door'. Special art work, a quilted banner, a choir 'flash mob' and hand-moulded figurine of 'yours-truly', a hug shawl along with comments from Hospice, emails, memories of Derek's hiring 15 years ago, a hand-made card from the Trinity Kids and a special 'envelope' from the congregation and friends, were all part of the get-together. Kind words were shared and well wishes expressed to Trinity's retiring minister. (Click on the pictures to enlarge!)
