“God in the Dark” Movie Night –
Friday March 24th - 7:00 pm in Trinity Hall. Our next movie is called “Same Kind of Different as Me.” Successful businessman Ron Hall and his wife, Deborah, discover a renewed sense of purpose when they begin to volunteer at a local mission in Fort Worth, Texas. Their lives change forever when they develop an unlikely friendship with Denver Moore, a homeless man who inspires them to save their struggling marriage. We have long recognized the power of the story in the Old Testament and especially through the teachings of Jesus in the New Testament. Movies are stories too. Our “God in the Dark” series is about looking for the divine in the ordinary everyday stories of life in our featured films. A brief discussion to unpack the movie and its themes will wrap up our time together. Best deal in town - $5 including popcorn during our intermission! Come out and share in some community fun and entertainment! See you at the movies! Rev. Diane |
Good morning to all of you sitting here today,
And to those tuning in from near and far away. It's nice to stand up here with you ...for a little time. And deliver once again ..an announcement in rhyme. A month or so ago, ...Rev. Diane wished upon a star, For all of us to think... of another word for ..PAR. Something with meaning.. and that we could all relate to. That could be easily remembered by each one of you!! |
Not really a word,
but rather an acronym it will be, My suggestion to you is simply the letters.... O M G!! Online Monthly Givings is what I thought it could stand for, And I am really hoping you will think its.. Top Drawer!! I am going to leave you now with this.. Food For Thought, And for giving me this time today, I say...Thanks a lot. |
